Baptism

Who Should Be Baptized?

Anyone who professes faith in Christ and has not been baptized. We baptize by sprinkling water or immersion in a pool of water in our worship space. Our church recognizes baptisms from other churches and therefore does not re-baptize people, but we do encourage people to attend a special baptism worship service to remember their baptisms.

When Do Baptisms Occur?

Baptisms occur during all worship services on select Sundays throughout the year.

How Do I Schedule a Baptism?

Adult baptisms are scheduled through online registration here. To register for an infant/child baptism,  complete the  form below and our staff will be in contact with you.

What is Child Baptism?

When parents who regularly attend AH are ready to make the commitment to raise their child in the Christian faith and decide to have their child baptized or blessed, we want to come alongside them and partner with them throughout their journey.

What if we are not Members of Anderson Hills?

Prior to having a child baptized or blessed, parents who are not members must attend the Spiritual Growth Track series.  This 3-week series helps you identify where you are on your spiritual journey and how to move to a profound love of God and others. A fourth week is for membership. Register for an upcoming Spiritual Growth Track.

What is the Baptism and Blessing Class?

All parents must attend the Baptism and Blessing Class, once. This prepares them for the Sacrament of Baptism and the Baby Blessing Ceremony.

During this session we also discuss:

  • The role of parents and church in the spiritual development of children
  • What makes a home Christ-centered
  • Blessing your child
